Doctor Who role for Miranda Hart?

One of the Britains finest comediennes hinted hinted yesterday, at the Media Guardian Edinburgh International Television Festival that she may appear in Doctor Who.The subject of a role in Doctor Who was brought up at the Miranda: A Masterclass event. She said "Yeah, I think everyone wants to be in Doctor Who."

When probed further by host marriella Frostrup she said "Let's move on," and she added "Doctor Who would be great." A few weeks ago it was alleged that Steven Moffat offered her a role but had to turn it down because BBC One controller Danny Cohen told her to concentrate on comedy. Personally I'd love to see her as a guest star or even a companion.

Doctor Who Let's KiIl Hitler Motion Comic

If I understand correctly during the adverts for BBC America's showing of Doctor Who a short motion comic clip was shown. It was meant to be filmed as a live action scene but was cut due to budgetery reasons and was made as a motion comic instead. It shows the Tesselecta chasing Amy and Rory on a motorcycle. I think another full length Doctor Who animation is due.

Parker's Review: S6 Ep8 Let's Kill Hitler

Good Stuff
1.The Doctor's new coat very snazzy.
2. The Tesselecta was a brilliant idea finding criminals near the end of their timelines and then "give them hell".
3. With the risk of sounding like most teenage boys who watch Doctor Who I say that Amy Pond was looking fineeeee!
4. "Shut up Hitler!" I have a new found love for Rory after this episode.
5. The mysterious character Mel's turned out to be River/Melody.
6. Caitlin Blackwood returning as Young Amy, she is a natural actress.
7. River's line "Well, I was on my way to this gay gypsy Bar Mitzvah for the disabled, when I suddenly thought, "Gosh, the Third Reich's a bit rubbish — I think I'll kill the Führer" — who's with me?"
8. The book of spoilers being given to River by The Doctor so she knows where to find him. So Timey Wimey!

The Bad Stuff- My nitpicks basically
1. Just when we got answers we get another question. What is the oldest question hidden in plain sight? Moffat damn your intriguing-ness!
2. Hitler should have re-appeared towards the end maybe the Nazi's finding him in the cupboard sobbing.
3. The Doctor dying again he's catching up with Rory.
4. Rose, Martha and Donna as the holograms in the Tardis were clearly the cardboard standees you can buy. It was a nice nod to the RTD era though.

Overall I really enjoyed this episode and I would go as far as saying it's my favourite episode of the Moffat era mostly for it's fast pace and killer lines.

Let's Kill Hitler Overnight Viewing Figures

Doctor Who got a very respectable average of 6.23 Million viewers last night according to overnight viewing figures. It had a 28.7% share of the total TV audience and was the most watched programme on BBC One last night. Of course the viewing figures go up to about 8 million when the final figures are released plus iPlayer viewings have to be taken into account. I think the later timeslot was a good idea and that Doctor Who belongs on TV at about 7.00pm. Don't listen to the papers saying that the show is in trouble because of the viewing figures it was the second highest rated show of the day after The X-Factor which had 10.6 million. The official figures will be released shortly. 0.51 watched Doctor Who Confidential on BBC Three afterwards.

'Karen Gillan is too ridiculous to be sexy' says Matt Smith

Matt Smith and Karen Gillan are known for having a laugh at eachothers expense and Matt has been at it again speaking to the papers this time talking about Karen's sexy image in the press. He told The Sun that she is a "Five out of Ten" for looks and goes on to say "It's pretty weird seeing Karen in her underwear. Actually seeing she can be sexy is quite weird, frankly, because I just know her as 'Stupid Face Karen'. Men love her, don't they? But she's just so ridiculous." I and many others would disagree with your there Matt...
